There have been a flood of reports from Forest Lake Photography members indicating that the ‘water’ workshop held recently was more fun than a liquid lunch!

“Forest Lake Photography Club is certainly focused on encouraging and teaching new techniques of photography to its members.”  Debbie Harry reported.

“Our President offered his business premises for club members to experiment and photograph objects being dropped into a fish tank for our next photo comp “Water”.”

Early on a Sunday morning, 17 members arrived to find a fish tank and various object ready for the experiments.   The splash and flash of water was not the only focus for this workshop but also the use of natural light, back drops and flash lighting.

During the three hours of the workshop the members produced some fantastic photography and also took the opportunity to share ideas and learn techniques regarding lighting and shutter speed.

“It gave me inspiration to actually create my own water workshop at home with props etc allowing me to submit my own alternative Water photographs for the next photo comp” said Debbie Harry

“Thank you Tony for providing the venue, equipment and knowledge for this workshop.”

There’s sure to be more workshops held by FLPC given the clear success of this one.
